ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Allentown School Board has up to 75 days to determine the future of the Arts Academy Elementary Charter School.

Allentown School District spokeswoman Kimberly Golden Benner said the school board  will spend 45 to 75 days to consider the school's application.

She said Thomas Lubben, the charter school's founder, made a presentation to the board Monday night and answered questions from board members.

The proposed school will be located at the former Allentown Racquetball Club at 6th and Union streets in Allentown.

If the plan is approved, children in kindergarten through fifth grades will spend two hours a day learning dance, visual art, theater, and music -- in addition to their basic studies.

No portfolio will be needed to get into the school, which its founders hope will open in September 2014.
