A Reading man was arrested Thursday in case of alleged child pornography.

READING, Pa. -

A Reading man was arrested Thursday in case of alleged child pornography.

Detectives took Sean Michael Fager into custody at his home at 1378 Perkiomen Ave. and then conducted a second search of the property.

The investigation began in March when Dropbox alerted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children of suspected child pornography being uploaded to the online media storage site, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

The matter was then turned over to Berks County detectives, who reviewed four digital videos of suspected child pornography and traced the computer from which they were uploaded to the Perkiomen Avenue home.

Detectives first searched the home in May and seized six computers and numerous electronic media storage devices, according to the court documents.

"We found some very disturbing evidence as a result of the items that had been previously seized," said District Attorney John Adams.

A search of the computers uncovered hundreds of images of suspected child pornography involving female children between the ages of one and five engaged in sexual intercourse with unknown men, according to court documents.

"Disturbing, disgusting," said Adams.

Following Fager's arrest Thursday, detectives again searched the home and seized items that were depicted in the photographs recovered during the search in May, officials said.

Neighbors are shocked.

"Aw, that is sick," said Barry Henry, a neighbor. "I think they should just lock him up and throw away the key. I mean, you do not mess with children."

"I just feel like it is wrong. At the end of the day, people like that do not deserve to be here," said Christine Simmons, a neighbor.

Fager, 49, was arraigned on sexual abuse of children charges and committed to the Berks County Jail on $1 million bail.

Adams said the investigation is far from over. Unlike many child pornography cases, he said he believes some of the children involved may live close by.

Investigators are searching for those victims, and Adams said more charges could come if they are found.

"We are hopeful that our community is safer now that he will be incarcerated," said Adams.
