Allentown woman high on PCP while caring for child, police say

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A Bethlehem woman high on PCP while caring for a child is facing child endangerment charges.

Allentown police said they were called to the area of North Sixth and West Gordon streets to check the welfare of a woman lying in the street.

According to court documents, when police arrived, they found 36-year-old Deana Lissette Perez under the influence of a controlled substance, unsteady on her feet and with very slurred speech.

With her was a six-year-old child Perez was taking care of at the time.

Perez, of the 600 block of High Street in Bethlehem, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child under 18, simple possession and public drunkenness and similar misconduct.
