ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

An armed man kept Allentown police busy Monday morning.

Capt. Gail Struss, Allentown Police Dept., told 69 News officers responded to the 300 block of East Walnut Street at 8:25 a.m. for a report of a man who kicked in the rear door of his estranged girlfriend's home.

The man, identified as 22 year-old Corey Brantley of Allentown, also used a gun to threaten the woman. Brantley then fled the home on foot.

A short time later, Struss said, Brantley robbed a man at gunpoint in the 200 block of East Maple Street.

Struss said police witnessed Brantley fleeing that scene, and set up a perimeter around the area in an effort to catch him.

Soon after that, Struss said, Brantley was seen exiting a home in the 100 block of East Hamilton Street. Struss said Brantley did not live in the home, nor did he know who lived there. There's no evidence of anything being taken from the home.

The weapon Brantley used in the incidents was also recovered, Struss said.

Brantley was arraigned on several charges, including robbery, burglary, and firearms charges, Struss said. Brantley was sent to Lehigh County Prison on $50,000 bail.
