BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A 69-year-old man from New York state who kept trying to charge several electronic devices using an outlet at SteelStacks ended up in a scuffle that involved three police officers, officials said.

Zhao Y. Zeng was taken into custody when a trio of officers were finally able to handcuff him at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday at SteelStacks' Levitt Pavilion, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, officials said.

Zeng grabbed a SteelStacks security guard by the shirt and pushed him twice against a wall after being told several times that he was not allowed to use SteelStacks outlets to charge his electronic equipment, officials said.

Zeng resisted when an officer tried to handcuff him, said officials, adding that other officers had to be called in to help when Zeng put his hands under his body after he was taken to the ground.

Zeng, of Elmhurst, N.Y., was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest and harassment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $10,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. May 1.
