LOWER SAUCON TWP., Pa. -

A woman is in trouble with the law after she twice used her ex-husband's personal information on an application for a telephone line, officials said.

Michelle Rumfield used her ex-husband's name and Social Security number on a T-Mobile online application on Dec. 16, 2012, and Feb. 9, 2013, officials said.

Her ex-husband, of the 3000 block of Old Philadelphia Pike, Lower Saucon Twp., Northampton Co., called police on Monday, after he checked his credit score and noticed an inquiry he did not authorize, officials said.

He told police that whoever used his credentials gave an address in Coplay, Lehigh Co., where his ex-wife lives, officials added.

Michelle Rumfield, 44, of 1 South 2nd St., Coplay, confessed to using her ex-husband's information after she was contacted by police on Tuesday, officials said.

She was arraigned early Wednesday morning on an identity theft charge and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $8,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. March 1.
