Woman, 72, lucky to be alive
A couple is lucky to be alive tonight after a tree fell into the bedroom of their mobile home.
It happened a little before midnight last night in the 88-hundred block of Old Route 22 in Bethel Township, Berks County.
A 72-year-old woman and her 65-year-old boyfriend somehow managed to get out safely.
The woman's son says it could have been a lot worse.
"It could have took a life that's for sure it's an act of god that my mom and her boyfriend are still living," said Ronald Gorey.
The family says the mobile home is a complete loss.
Officials say a woman in Chester County was trapped on her living room couch after a tree came crashing into her home.
It happened on Cambridge Road in West Caln Township.
Firefighters had to use jacks and saws to rescue the woman.
She was taken to a nearby hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Her husband and her young child managed to get out of the home safely.
