Weekly Roadwork - Carbon County

The contractor will be starting overhead bridge demolition work on the Turnpike mainline bridge where it crosses over US-209 in Franklin Township. This will require single-lane traffic restrictions and periodic stoppages on State Route 209 as follows:
Daytime: Tuesday through Thursday (April 15, 16 & 17) from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. setting single-lane patterns for northbound traffic.
The contractor is also planning nighttime traffic restrictions northbound on I-476 on Monday, April 14 from 6 p.m. – 8 a.m.

RESTRICTION: Nighttime lane restrictions on US 209 south. A contractor working for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will be performing work at the Exit 74/Mahoning Valley Interchange of the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-476). The contractor also plans to have the traffic signal at US 209 and Harrity Road on flashing mode at night. Expect delays and use caution driving through the work zone.
