Vikettes preparing to face top ranked Becahi

The Central Catholic girls are preparing for a big showdown on Tuesday, a game with league rival Becahi.

Mike Kopp won his 900th game as a head coach over the weekend, an amazing number of wins for a high school coach or a coach at any level. For years his Vikettes were the team to beat not only in the LVC but in the state at the Triple-A level. That role now belongs to Becahi's girls, and the Vikettes play them tomorrow night. Don't get me wrong, the Vikettes are still one of the elite teams in the LVC and could very well be the team that battles Becahi in more than one championship game this winter. But first they have a regular season game with Becahi tomorrow night and it's a big one for both teams, but especially big if the Vikettes can earn a win. But that won't be easy against a really good group of Golden Hawks.
