A truck hauling a trailer lost one of its tires early Tuesday, causing a traffic headache for many traveling on Interstate 78.
The accident happened around 8:15 a.m. in the eastbound lanes just past Route 33 in Williams Twp., Northampton County.
According to state police, the truck was towing a trailer in the right eastbound lane when the rear driver's side tire fell off.
The driver, 49-year-old Patrick Davis of Chambersburg, Franklin County, lost control of the truck and trailer, and the truck began to swerve, police said.
The truck and trailer became unconnected and the trailer jacknifed across the bed of the truck, police said.
The truck stopped, partially blocking the right hand lane.
Davis was not hurt.
Traffic was backed up on both I-78 eastbound and Route 33.
