ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Some local Toyota dealers are teaming up with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs baseball team to strike out hunger.

Three local dealers -- Krause, Bennett and Milham -- joined the IronPigs to collect food items for the 4th annual Toyota Tundra food drive.

A convoy of pickup trucks delivered 8,600 pounds of food to the Second Harvest Food Bank in Allentown on Wednesday.

The food will go a long way to feed those in need, officials said.

"8,600 pounds of food means probably close to 7,000 meals that will be on the tables of people who might not have had the means to put the food on the table themselves," said Ann McManus, director, Second Harvest Food Bank.

To find out how you can help, you can head over to the food bank's website.
