WHITEHALL, Pa. -

The Whitehall-Coplay School District went into a temporary lock-down Tuesday morning after receiving a threat.

One student who may have been involved with the threat was taken into police custody for additional questioning, according to Whitehall Township Police.

The threat was received around 8:50 a.m., according to an e-mail from district Director of Operations Gary Behr sent at 11:19 a.m.

"Being diligent, all buildings on campus were locked down," states the email. "Police and administration have thoroughly investigated and deemed no credibility to this threat. We are now returning to our normal scheduled activities. As always, we will continue to err on the side of caution, and we will continue to provide you with timely information."

Whitehall Township police said officers were dispatched to the high school and middle school to interview persons involved in two separate incidents. "Due to the investigation of these incidents, all district school buildings were locked down as a precautionary measure," police said in a statement.

Police said it was determined "there was no danger to students and no one was injured."
