Testimony: Allentown man went to ER, then returned to kill Kimberly Cardona

Some new details were revealed in court Friday about the night Kimberly Cardona was killed.
It may have been case of a date that went terribly wrong.
In his preliminary hearing, it was revealed that Jonathan Nunez and Cardona got into a fight in July and Nunez's finger got cut. He got mad and started beating her.
Testimony from the hearing:
After she was knocked out, he left her to have his finger examined at the emergency room at Lehigh Valley Hospital at 17th and Chew streets in Allentown.
When his finger was fine, he returned to the scene where she was still alive, gasping for air. Nunez then cut her throat, dragged her body into the woods off Lanze Road in Salisbury Twp., Lehigh Co., then left.
The box cutter used to slit her throat was found under her body.
Officials said Nunez then fled to New Jersey, then New York City, and then the Dominican Republic.
Police were looking for him, and his family convinced him to come back to Pennsylvania.
All charges have been held for court. Nunez's formal arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 16.
