Officials have given the all-clear after checking out a suspicious package at a hospital in Lehigh County.

SALISBURY TWP., Pa. -

Officials have given the all-clear after checking out a suspicious package at a hospital in Lehigh County.

A package was found around 11 a.m. Thursday inside a women's restroom in the Kasych Family Pavilion on the first floor of the Lehigh Valley Hospital's Cedar Crest campus in Salisbury Twp., Lehigh Co., according to hospital officials.

Non-essential people in the floor above and below where the package was found were evacuated, said Brian Downs, a hospital spokesman.

The alert was lifted shortly after 1 p.m. after the package was secured and deemed non-threatening, Downs said.

The first floor of the Kasych Building will remain closed for additional processing.

No patients were moved and the rest of the hospital campus and other areas of the Kasych Pavilion operated as usual, Downs said. Other Lehigh Valley Health Network campuses and facilities were also under normal operations.

This is the second suspicious package found at the hospital in less than a week. A package was destroyed late Sunday night, and officials said it turned out to be someone's personal belongings.
