Local students are giving new meaning to being "spaghetti benders."

SPRING TWP., Pa. -

Local students are giving new meaning to being "spaghetti benders."

College and high school students participated in a spaghetti bridge-building competition at Penn State Berks on Friday.

The goal was to build a bridge from spaghetti capable of supporting the largest possible load. Students put together some really complex structures.

The winner was "Team Crunch" from Penn State Berks. their bridge was able to hold 23 pounds.
