Steve Gaunt takes over as head football coach at Twin Valley

Steve Gaunt looks to turn around a Twin Valley football program that has not seen a great deal of success over the last few years.

ELVERSON, Pa. -

There was a football coaching change at the college level earlier this week with Drew Folmar taking over at Kutztown.

There is also one at the high school level as Steve Gaunt steps in as the new head football coach at Twin Valley.

Gaunt replaces Eric Hancock, who spent two seasons at the helm of the Raiders.

Twin Valley is a program that has struggled mightily over the past few seasons and could use a fresh start.

Gaunt can give them that because he's had experience doing it already.

He coached with Dave Bodolus at Daniel Boone and witnessed first-hand how to build a competitive program within Berks County.

While Gaunt is excited for the opportunity, he knows the first step to reconstruction is not about him. It's about his players first and foremost.

Gaunt also has coaching experience with the Reading Express and Baltimore Mariners.
