State Democratic officials have made their choice to try to keep the seat of State Representative Joseph Brennan in Democratic hands.

HARRISBURG, Pa. -

State Democratic officials have made their choice to try to keep the seat of State Rep. Joseph Brennan in Democratic hands.

The executive board of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party has chosen Daniel McNeill, one day after local Democrats signed off on him.

McNeill is a former Whitehall Township commissioner.

He'll face Republican David Molony in the 133rd district race in November.

Police say Rep. Brennan punched and choked his wife and drove drunk on August 15.

Brennan exited the race last week but he will finish his term.
