Spring police release sketch of man sought in possible attempted assault on female jogger

Police are asking for the public's help with identifying a man who possibly attempted to assault a female jogger in Berks County.

SPRING TWP., Pa. -

Police are asking for the public's help with identifying a man who possibly attempted to assault a female jogger in Berks County.

The woman reported to police that she was jogging on Snyder Road, in the area of Wellington Boulevard, in Spring Township around 2:55 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 3, when a man grabbed her.

The woman told police she screamed, and the man ran away. He was last seen runing on Snyder Road, toward Grandview Boulevard. 

The jogger was not injured.

The man was described as being a darker-skinned black man, approximately 17 to 22 years of age, standing about six feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. The man was wearing a black sweat shirt and black gym pants with two stripes on the leg, police said.

Callers to Crime Alert can remain anonymous and receive a cash reward of up to $5,000 if the information they provide leads to an arrest.
