BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A dealer at the Sands casino was arrested for pocketing $600 at the end of his shift, officials said.

David H. Greger took six $100 bills out of the casino after he finished his shift running a roulette game at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, officials said.

Greger rolled up the bills and placed them in one of his pockets after he took them from a drop box, officials said, adding that Greger received five of the bills from the casino when he started his shift and the other bill from a customer.

Greger admitted to taking the money during an interview with police at the casino on New Year's Day, officials said.

Greger, 46, of 157 East Wyomissing Ave., Mohnton, Berks Co., was arraigned early Wednesday morning on a charge of theft by unlawful taking and released on $2,500 unsecured bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Jan. 10.
