Connect with Catherine Hawley:
Catherine Hawley joined the 69 News team as a reporter in January 2012. She grew up in Berks County, and is excited to be close to family while covering stories in the Lehigh Valley.
Before coming to WFMZ-TV, Catherine was a Video Journalist and fill-in anchor at WRIC in Richmond, Virginia. During her 2.5 years in the River City she was responsible for reporting on the largest municipality in the viewing area. That beat allowed her to report on everything from the opening of a new highway interchange to murder trials. Catherine got her start in journalism shooting, editing and reporting her own stories at WTVH in Syracuse, New York. She also got very used to the snow while living in Central New York!
Catherine graduated from Temple University with a Broadcast Journalism degree and a minor in Business. She's also a grad of Conrad Weiser High School in Berks County.
Catherine is thrilled to be back in Pennsylvania. When she's not working Catherine likes to read, explore nature, travel as often as she can, and have fun with friends and her large family (she's one of seven children!).
