A soldier from Allentown who died in a plane crash in 1946 is finally coming home.

Staff Sgt. Zoltan Dobovich was part of an eight-man crew on board a B-17 Flying Fortress headed to England from Italy when their plane crashed in the French Alps.

Some initial remains were recovered since then, but it wasn't until advances in DNA testing allowed officials to confirm the remains of Dobovich.

His remains will be buried at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in Burlington County, N.J., on Thursday.

Prior to that, services will be held at 11 a.m. at the Perinchief Chapel in Mount Holly, N.J.
