ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

An Allentown attorney is making plans to run for judge.

Rashid Santiago has announced his candidacy for magesterial district judge, for the vacant position in Allentown, District 31-1-02.

“As an Allentown native, I am eager to bring my education, experience, and knowledge of the law to serve the city in which I have lived my entire life. In doing so, I am confident that I can help restore the public’s confidence in the integrity of the position,” said Santiago.

He said in addition to his legal training and expertise, his ties to the community have influenced his decision to run for the judge position.

“As a husband and father, I want to ensure that our local neighborhoods and schools are safe. As a local resident, I want to ensure that every litigant and witness be treated fairly and with the utmost respect and dignity,” said Santiago.

Santiago is a graduate of Gwynedd Mercy College and Widener University School of Law.
