There were calls for peace and signs of protest today in the Lehigh Valley.

Several people protested outside Senator Pat Toomey's office in Allentown.

They want Toomey and other members of Congress to vote against any military intervention in Syria.

"We are Americans," said Rev. Afaf Atiyeh Darcy the Special Events Coordinator for Syrian American Community in LV. "We want our money to be used to feed our hungry children here, to educate our youth, to take care of our senior citizens, those that need to be rehabilitated and helped and educated and reformed, those who are struggling right here in America."

Senator Toomey's office says he is still undecided on the Syria resolution.

Meantime over in Bethlehem members of the Lehigh-Pocono Committee of Concern -- or LEPOCO -- held a peace vigil to protest any attack.
