Vigil in Bethlehem for CT victims

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

In the Lehigh Valley, people gathered to pray for the innocent lives lost in the Newtown, Conn., tragedy.

Candles lit the way in part of downtown Bethlehem Sunday night.

A vigil was held on the church green of Central Moravian Church at Main and Church Streets at 5 p.m.

It was an interfaith gathering of prayer and hope -- a combined effort of churches nearby.

Those who came out said they just want to show their support for the Connecticut community of Newtown.

"You can't even imagine- in their town they talk about their Christmas city and their lights and you know it just hits home," said Pam Larimer, Central Moravian Church member.

One speaker said there isn't much to say at times like this-- but it's a time to think about the victims and remember the innocent.

There were prayers for hope and peace in the days to come.
