Police searching for man wanted for two robberies

Police say a man who held up an adult bookstore in Reading a few days ago was also behind a violent robbery in West Reading Wednesday afternoon.

Police say a man who held up an adult bookstore in Reading a few days ago was also behind a violent robbery in West Reading Wednesday afternoon.

Now they need your help to find him.

Police have identified John Gentry of Shillington as the suspect in both cases.

West Reading police say Gentry entered the Lukoil in the 300 block of Penn Avenue in West Reading around 5:30 Wednesday afternoon.

They say he held a razor to a cashier's throat and made off with $150 in cash.

Meantime Reading police say a warrant has been issued for Gentry's arrest in connection with a robbery at the Reading Adult Outlet in the 300 block of Penn Street.

They say on July 1st, Gentry pushed a clerk to the floor twice and grabbed cash from a register.
