Police in Wilson, Northampton Co., are searching for the suspect in a shooting early Saturday, and said he should be considered armed.
It happened in the 1500 block of Liberty Street around 3 a.m., according to police.
Police are searching for Victor "So-fleece" Rivera, 27, whose last known address is on Ninth Street in Easton. They said he should be considered armed.
Police said officers noticed a group at the Square One Exxon in the 1500 block of Northampton Street around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, and they said it appeared there was going to be a fight. Police said the group dispersed when they arrived at the scene.
Then, a few minutes later, police said two men were fighting in the area of 15th and Liberty streets, but one man fled when officers arrived. The other man was identified as Jesus Jackson, 20, of Easton. He told police he was fighting with an unknown man for an unknown reason.
Police said at around 3 a.m. they heard gunshots in the area of 15th and Liberty streets. When they arrived on scene, police found Jesus Jackson lying on the ground. When officers approached him, police said he ran from the area to Easton.
Police said Jackson returned to the scene around 4 a.m. with a gunshot wound to the left abdomen and left arm. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police determined Rivera to be the suspect in the shooting. They said he will be charged with aggravated assault, attempted homicide, and more.
They said Rivera was not the man Jackson was previously fighting with, but that he was with that person. Police also said Rivera may be driving a dark-colored sedan.
A warrant has been issued for Rivera's arrest. He is being charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempt/homicide, crimes committed with firearms, persons not to possess a firearm and recklessly endangering another person.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
