Police hope surveillance video they released Tuesday will help them catch a killer.

WEST READING, Pa. -

Police hope surveillance video they released Tuesday will help them catch a killer.

They are trying to find the person responsible for shooting Julio Torres in the head in the parking lot of the West Reading Diner around 3:30 a.m. on Mar. 24, police said.

Torres, 34, whose last known address was in the 900 block of Perry Street in Reading, was on life support for about a week. He died of his injuries this past weekend, the coroner said.

Roughly 50 people were seen in and around the diner on the morning of the shooting, said investigators, who want to speak with those people.

"So we believe these individuals who were present in the diner have information about the incident, and we are asking the public's help to identify them so that law enforcement can speak to them," said Berks County District Attorney John Adams.

"A lot of the people that were in the diner when the shooting happened fled before the police arrived," said Detective Joseph Brown, West Reading Police Department. "The other troubling part about this is that, with the amount of people that were there, I'd say about 50 people, not one person from the diner called 911."

Anyone with information about the deadly shooting in West Reading is urged to call Crime Alert: Berks County. The toll free number is 877-373-9913.

If your tip leads to an arrest, you could receive a cash reward of up to $10,000.
