A Super Shoes store manager says she chased a thief out the front entrance of the store.
The thief got away, but it wasn't the first time he paid a visit to the store, management said.
"I heard the cashier scream for me," said Donna Kissinger, store manager. "I came out and she says that guy with his bag, he just stole all the crocks."
It was the thief's third visit to the store, officials said.
In total, he managed to steal about $1,700 worth of merchandise, police said.
After the man fled the store, management says he fled through a set of trees to the nearby train tracks, and then disappeared.
The accused thief's picture is even posted on the front door of the store, located at the Fairgrounds Square Mall, so customers can get a good look at him.
"I'm not surprised, at all, that somebody would steal," said Judy Romig, customer. "It's part of today."
The alleged thief is described as black or Hispanic male about 5 feet 9 inches tall.
He's accused of stealing from the store on Sept. 7 around 8:30 p.m., Sept. 5 at 3:30 p.m., and also on Sept. 4 at 3:30 p.m.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Alert: Berks County immediately.
The number is 877-373-9913.
Anonymous calls are accepted, and you could earn up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
