Police: Several stabbed in Reading fight

Police say six people were stabbed in an overnight bar fight in Northeast Reading. Two of them are still in critical condition, and one suspect is in custody. It's not the first case of violence at the club where the stabbing happened.
Outside Club 809 on North Ninth Street, the doors are padlocked and neighbors are on edge.
"I was like, wow, I couldn't believe that," said one neighbor, who didn't want to identify herself. "Somebody would stab six people; if you're going to go out, have fun. There's no reason to be fighting or stabbing people."
When police arrived just after 2:00 Saturday morning, they found a chaotic scene.
"There was a bloody mess inside the bar, so I'm sure that it was chaotic," said Berks Co. District Attorney John Adams.
Court papers and police said several witnesses have identified the suspect, 22 year old Ramon Nazario. Officers found Narzario a short time later at his apartment on South Sixth Street, covered in blood and suffering from his own stab wound. Nazario was taken into custody at Reading Hospital.
According to Reading Police Sgt. John Solecki, witnesses all claim Nazario acted alone. He said they do not expect to charge additional suspects.
Adams said the bar should never have been open that late.
"The bar should have been empty," he said. "People should have been going back to their homes. They should not have been inside the bar after two a.m."
Club 809 was the scene of a brutal attack three years ago. At the time, police said nine men beat and stabbed a 25 year-old man there.
"There's always fights there," said the neighbor. "There's like, always gunshots there. Like, there's almost too much problems in there. I don't know why they have that open."
Adams said he will investigate the bar.
"I'm looking into whether or not this bar has been a problem for the Reading Police historically," he said. "And if so, we intend to take action to stop the illegal activity.
Raul Nazario has had his own run-ins with cops before, including a weapons violation. He's now charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault, as well as related charges. He's in the Berks Co. Prison under $500 thousand bond.
