BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A man who took cash and a laptop computer from his mother's home two months ago is facing a drug charge, officials said.

Robert A. Roth was arrested Tuesday for possession of drug paraphernalia discovered by Louise Kelser on top of a dresser in her home at 3061 Westminster Rd., Bethlehem, on Sept. 11, officials said.

Kelser found a spoon, a used hypodermic needle and more than 10 wax paper baggies with "Coca Cola" stamped in red on the dresser as she was searching for $300 in cash and a laptop that were missing, officials said.

Kelser began looking for the cash and the computer after Roth bolted from her car near Linden Street and Route 22, Bethlehem Twp., Northampton Co., as she was driving him to the airport so he could go into rehab for heroin addiction, officials said.

Roth, 23, was arraigned and freed on $5,000 unsecured bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. Nov. 13.
