BATH, Pa. -

A man attacked his wife after confronting her over photos he found on her cell phone, officials said.

Johelly M. Figueroa grabbed his wife by the throat, pushed her against a living room wall and then blocked the door as she tried to run outside of their home in the 400 block of Old Forge Drive in Bath, Northampton Co., at about 4 p.m. Thursday, officials said.

Figueroa pursued his wife when she finally made it outside and shoved her back inside the home, causing her to fall to the floor and hurt her arm, officials said.

Figueroa's wife told police the altercation began after her husband found some "inappropriate" photos on her cell phone, officials said.

Figueroa, 38, was arraigned on assault and harassment charges and released on $15,000 unsecured bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. March 29.
