PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. -

A performer from our region will advance on a popular talent show after a winning audition.

Singer-songwriter Matt Cermanski, of Phoenixville, took to "The Voice" stage and performed for the judges Monday night.

He turned heads and the chairs of Cee-Lo, country artist Blake Shelton and Maroon 5's Adam Levine.

It wasn't Cermanski's first time on the show, however.

Last year, he failed to turn any chairs when he performed Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream."

A failure he says inspired his song choice this time around.

"It fit so well with me coming back on the show this year, have a little faith in me," he said.

Cermanski says he was more confident this time around and wiser.

And he says he's especially grateful for all the support from his local fans.
