Cody Asche is now a Philadelphia Phillie, Asche has been brought up to the Major League club after a very good season with the IronPigs.

With baseball's trade deadling approaching, there's plenty of speculation surrounding the Phillies. that means there's plenty of speculation surrounding the IronPigs too, because the Phillies have several prospects in the Lehigh Valley.  One of those prospects, is heading to Philadelphia to join the Phillies, that's third baseman Cody Asche.   Asche was having a very good year for the IronPigs, leading the team in RBI with 68 to go along with his 15 home runs and .295 average.  He was a AAA all-star and it was simply a matter of time before he got his chance at the major league level be it with Philly or someone else had he been dealt before tomorrow afternoon. Writers in Philly are reporting that the Phillies plan on playing Asche every day at 3rd base, although he's not in the Phillies' starting lineup tonight against the Giants.
