It was the Battle of the Birds in Hamburg.
The Philadelphia Eagles were playing the Hamburg Hawks in basketball.
"I think it is awesome," said Lynn Palko in Hamburg.
Teachers, administrators, and coaches from Hamburg took to the court to go up against five Eagles players.
They did it to raise money for the Hamburg Area Education Foundation that provides scholarships to students in grades K-12.
"The scholarships are really important so that kids really can explore things outside of the regular curriculum in school. They can go to things like a CSI camp, or a science camp or something they really can pursue, something that really interests them," said Foundation President Stanley Gravish.
This is the 7th Annual Battle of the Birds and every year different Eagles players join in on the action.
"Just something to give back, be around the guys. We just love doing this. We love putting smiles on kids' faces. We just thought it would be a great thing," said Philadelphia Eagles Defensive End Vinny Curry.
About 900 fans attended the game.
Many of them said they came out to have a good time and support a good cause.
"Game is great, very exciting and great players from the Eagles. It is awesome," said John Alskey in Hamburg.
"Kids now a days can definitely benefit from all the help from the school. So it is good to see the turnout too. Lots of money raised," said Robert Moyer in Hamburg.
