PALMER TWP., Pa. -

Palmer Township voted to continue using sewer engineering services from Gannett Fleming for the year of 2013. Last year, the township dissolved the sewer authority but kept the services with Gannett Fleming for projects that may occur within the township.

On Monday night, the Board of Supervisors authorized another year with the company after both the township and engineering service agreed to an official change in liability language.

"Gannett and Fleming has been the engineer for the sewer authority for the past 40 years," David Colver, board chairman, stated. He explained, "This is a contract to have them continue what they are working on."

Board member Ann-Marie Panella said plaques were given to employees of the sewer services a few weeks ago as a thank you for their dedication, one worker being dedicated for over 40 years.
