The Reading School District has hired a new company to teach students with behavioral problems.

READING, Pa. -

The Reading School District has hired a new company to teach students with behavioral problems.

Camelot Schools is now running the Achieve Academy on Margaret Street in Reading. The group operates other alternative education schools in the Lancaster and Philadelphia areas.

The Reading School District terminated its agreement with its previous alternative education provider in the middle of the last school year. An investigation found that students were fighting and not focusing on academics.

Students at the school this year are giving their teachers high marks.

"They don't treat us any different. same no matter how bad or how good we are," said Jackie Acosta, student.

"The staff are great compromisers. They teach students with respect as students expect to be treated," said another student, Mina Hernandez.

The school currently serves about 100 students in Reading, official said.
