More heroic efforts are coming to light after a deadly accident Wednesday in Reading.
A man who helped rescue a little girl from the wreckage of the horrible crash said he's still shaken up after watching the collision unfold.
"Everything happened in less than seconds, just cars crashing into each other like crazy," said Henry Madina, who is being called a hero.
The logo on Madina's shirt Thursday now lives up to his reputation. His co-workers call him, "Superman," after he sprung into action Wednesday on the Bingaman Street Bridge.
Lance Quinones, the driver of a burgandy Honda was killed, while his seven-year-old step daughter was bleeding in the backseat and screaming for help.
"I came picked up the girl, took her out of the car and put her on the sidewalk because smoke was coming out of the dashboard," said Medina.
The tow truck driver works for J&S Auto in the city. He was driving behind a grey BMW. He said the BMW was flying over the bridge when it crossed into the other lane, and hit the Honda head on.
While Medina moved the girl to safety, another man, Miguel Castillo stayed with Quinones. He held his hand as Quinones, 24, took his last breath.
Quinones couldn't be helped, and the tow truck driver said with his first child on the way, his own life flashed in front of him.
"I could have pictured me there with my daughter screaming my name out in the car, I didn't like the feeling at all," said Medina.
According to police, the driver of the BMW underwent substantial surgery. At last check, a woman who was also in the car was still in the hospital.
Medina said the girl suffered minor injuries and was set to be released from the hospital Thursday.
Meanwhile, police are still asking anyone who saw the accident to give them a call.
