Man arrested for pulling knife during fight in fast-food restaurant parking lot, police say

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A man was arrested for pulling out a knife during a fight in a fast-food restaurant parking lot, officials said.

Tyler E. Deater was fighting with another man in the parking lot of the KFC at 2571 Easton Ave., Bethlehem, at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday when he pulled out the knife and the altercation ended, officials said.

Tyler was found with a purple butterfly-style knife in his right front jacket pocket a short distance away, near Glenmere Street and Stefko Boulevard, officials said.

Tyler, 19, of 1044 Crawford St., Bethlehem, was arraigned on a charge of possessing a prohibited weapon and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $7,500 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. March 8.
