Man Arrested, Charged With Raping Girl, 7

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Police have arrested a man who they said raped a 7-year-old girl over the weekend.

According to court documents, police arrested Nolvis Rivera-Garcia on Sunday afternoon.

State police responded around 4:00 to the 200 block of Lehigh Street in Allentown for a report of a disturbance, according to court documents.

When they arrived, police said they found Rivera-Garcia, who appeared to have been assaulted.

They said further investigation revealed that Rivera-Garcia had been involved in a rape.

According to police, the victim's mother found Rivera-Garcia raping her daughter in the 100 block of South 6th Street.

The girl was transported to St. Luke's Hospital to be checked out.

Police also said they found a crack pipe on Rivera-Garcia.

He has been charged with rape, aggravated indecent assault, indecent exposure, indecent assault, corruption of minors, and drug charges.
