Luke Bryan will headline Allentown Fair
An emerging country music star will bring his charm to headline his own show at the Great Allentown Fair in August.
Georgia native Luke Bryan was part of the country bill last year headlined by Jason Aldean that set a box office record at the fair.
Bryan's concert is the first one announced for the 2013 fair.
Fair talent buyer Bonnie Brosious said, “Luke wowed and charmed a capacity crowd of over 14,500 fairgoers last summer so we are thrilled to have secured a date on his 2013 Dirt Road Diaries tour. "
Last month Bryan won the American Music Award for Favorite Male Country Artist.
He followed that honor with nine fan-voted American Country Awards -- including Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Male Single of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Male Music Video of the Year, Most Played Radio Track, and Most Played Radio Track: Male.
The husband and wife team of Keifer and Shawna Thompson, better known as Thomspon Square, set an early mark in their careers nominated for two Grammy-awards last year for Best Country Song and Best Country Duo/Group Performance on “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not,” the huge hit single off of their debut self-titled album.
The new dynamic duo of Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley known as Florida Georgia Line are enjoying the success of “Cruise,” the first single off of their first major label album just released, “Here’s to the Good Times.”
Tickets go on sale to the public starting Saturday, Jan. 19 and cost $59 for festival standing room on the floor/track and reserved seats in the covered grandstand.
Tickets can be bought at the fair box office at 302 N. 17th Street in Allentown, online at ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000 and at TicketMaster centers.
The box office will also be open Jan. 21 and 24.
