State Police in at the Fogelsville barracks are reaching out to the public, hoping someone knows something about the disappearance of a Lehigh County woman.
According to police, Holly Grim, 41, went missing on Friday morning. She was last seen on the front porch of her mobile home in the Red Maples Mobile Home Park. Officers believe she left her home between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. Friday.
Cpl. Louis Gober said police were notified after Grim's mother realized her daughter wasn't at her home. Neighbors said Grim's mother lives just down the street and talks to her daughter every morning.
"Her mother went to her house, and found she wasn't there, which was unusual for her," Cpl. Gober said.
According to Gober, police have not classified Grim's disappearance as an abduction at this time, but neighbors believe she was taken against her will.
"Everyday, her mom would be here to pick her up, they work together," said Woody, a neighbor of Grim's.
"No, she didn't up and leave," said Erica Henningsen, a neighbor of Grim's.
Henningsen said Grim drove her high-school-aged son to the bus stop every morning. She does not believe she would leave her son without warning.
One neighbor took note of a back door that was open when police arrived, and said that alone was out of the ordinary.
"The front door was locked, back door was open about an inch. That was strange. You never saw anyone go in or out that back door, never," Woody said.
Neighbors described Grim as a polite and quiet neighbor, that never disturbed the peace. Neighbors said Grim never showed any signs of disturbance, which is part of why they find her disappearance so troubling.
Henningsen said she reached out to a homeless shelter she volunteers at, and also her workplace to spread the word about her missing neighbor.
"I work at Walmart, every customer I looked, and I looked to see if I could see her," Henningsen said.
Grim is described as a white female approximately 5'3" tall weighing about 100 pounds.
She has brown hair and brown eyes.
