ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

More than a half million books have been distributed to kids all around the Lehigh Valley, thanks to the Cops 'N' Kids program.

Recently, 12-year-old Alysse Danyi, from Nazareth Area Intermediate School, collected more than 16,000 books to add to that grand total.

She stopped by 69 News at Sunrise, along with Cops 'n' Kids Lehigh Valley President Bev Bradley, to talk about why it's so important to get books in the hands of our children.
