Spring is almost here which means swimsuit season is just around the corner.
That has lots of folks hitting the gym. Some people get bored with the same workout routine with treadmills and dumbbells.
But these days, there are lots of options to get in shape: from talking long walks to housecleaning to some high tech solutions you may not have considered.
Take advantage of technology. For Nintendo Wii, try Ubisoft's Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013.
It includes 125 different workouts, 215 moves and a personalized four-week program.
For a more vigorous workout, try THQ's UFC Personal trainer. It provides training from experts in kickboxing, wrestling, and muay thai.
More of an app person? Try iFitness Pro. It has hundreds of exercises divided into body region and primary targets. Or try Zombies Run!. It is a role playing app that scares you into shape, while completing over 30 mission.
Trainers say another high tech way to mix it up includes apps that chart your progress.
The Withings W-S-30 bathroom scale is a great way to stay on top of your accomplishments. Once you step on this scale, your weight and BMI (body mass index) are automatically uploaded to a free app.
This way you can see the results right in the palm of your hand.
