Lehigh adjusting to life without McCollum

Lehigh begins life without the nation's leading scorer this week. C.J. McCollum is out 8-10 weeks with a broken bone in his foot, meaning others have to step up.

As of today we are almost exactly 8 weeks away from the start of the Patriot League basketball tournament.  That means Lehigh fans may get to see C.J. McCollum play for the brown and white again, if he heals quickly from a broken bone in his foot that he suffered Saturday.  Of course, this also means, they may never see him in a Lehigh uniform again.  The broken bone suffered at VCU will keep McCollum out 8-10 weeks. If it's 8, that's great news for Lehigh and McCollum who leads the nation in scoring this season in terms of getting back to make a run at another NCAA tournament berth and league title.  If it's 10 weeks, McCollum's next game could be at the next level.   For Lehigh, what this means is a very good team has to make some big adjustments in how they do things if they want to be in the title hunt while he recovers.  The good news for the Mountain Hawks is they have a veteran team with lots of talent.
