Lafayette College head field hockey coach Andrew Griffiths has earned a big postseason accolade after his Leopards had the best season in program history.

The Lafayette field hockey team had a year like the team has never had before. That year landed them in the NCAA Tournament, and it's landed head coach Andrew Griffiths on a list of coaches being honored. The national field hockey coaches association has named Griffiths the mid-east coach of the year in college hockey. Griffiths led the Leopards to a 17-3 season and the first at- large NCAA tournament berth for any team in Patriot League history. This honor puts him on the short list of candidates for national coach of the year which will be announced on December 17th.
