Lack of Eagles wins leads to lackluster merchandise sales

The Philadelphia Eagles have not been flying high this season.
Fans aren't happy and now the team's poor performance is hurting the bottom line at some local sporting good stores.
The register is still ringing at Schuylkill Valley Sports at the South Mall in Allentown.
People are just not buying items that are green and white.
"Sales so far this year have been a little slow," said Cody Fatzinger, a clerk at Schuylkill Valley Sports. "You have your diehard Eagles fans that are still coming in supporting the team. Most come in here and complain that their team is losing. For the most part they want Andy Reid out."
So far the team has not made a move to get rid of the head guy in the nest.
Head coach Andy Reid says he believes the Eagles will soar once again.
"You don't count anybody out in the National Football League," said Reid. "So I'm surely not going to count this football team out. I feel good about this team."
"Personally I have not sold any adult Eagles jerseys at all," added Fatzinger.
Workers say if the Eagles start doing better, more gear will start flying off the shelves.
One customer says if the Eagles keep doing bad other jerseys may be flying off the shelves.
"They don't want to buy stuff right now," said Brian Trexler from Allentown. "They may be thinking about changing teams."
So some people may not want to admit to rooting for the Eagles.
"The way their season is going this year I said, 'unfortunately I am an Eagles fan'," added Trexler. "Still got to stick by your team."
Others are hoping Santa brings an early Christmas present in the form of Eagles victories.
"I think if they turn it around, get healthy, they still have time to turn it around," said Kelly Ebeling from Emmaus.
Victories that will help merchandise sales and keep the Eagles season out of the dumps.
