BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. -

A man attacked his wife and struck her head on the ground while she was trying to return money from their joint bank account to him, officials said.

Kevin J. Dollack grabbed his wife by the hair, forced her to the ground and slammed her head into the driveway pavement outside their home in the 1600 block of 12th Street in Bethlehem Twp., Northampton Co., at about midnight Saturday, officials said.

Dollack's wife told police she had left the home the night before because of an argument with her husband and had returned after receiving a phone call from him to give back money she took from a joint account, officials said.

Dollak admitted to grabbing his wife's hair but denied forcing her to the ground or striking her head on the driveway, officials said.

Dollack, 48, was arraigned on assault and harassment charges and was released on $5,000 unsecured bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. March 29.
