The nation got a chance to see the inspirational story of the brave dog who was the partner of fallen Berks County Sheriff's Deputy Kyle Pagerly.

READING, Pa. -

The nation got a chance to see the inspirational story of the brave dog who was the partner of fallen Berks County Sheriff's Deputy Kyle Pagerly.

"Jynx" received an American Hero Dog award for law-enforcement during a taped ceremony that aired on the Hallmark Channel Thursday night.

Various members of Berks law-enforcement and Pagerly's widow, Alecia, watched the show at the Miller Center in Reading.

Kyle Pagerly was shot and killed in the line of duty in June of last year.

Jynx tried to pull Pagerly out of harm's way.

Jynx's heroic story was prominently featured during the broadcast.

Many of the celebrities who were in the audience were brought to tears.
