Soon Pennsylvania judges may have options when it comes to sentencing juvenile offenders.

HARRISBURG, Pa. -

Soon Pennsylvania judges may have options when it comes to sentencing juvenile offenders.

Tuesday the state House passed a bill in favor of a new set of sentences with penalties that depend on the age of the offender.

The bill now heads to the Senate and leaders there say it's likely to pass.

The measure follows a ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court saying life-without-parole sentences for juveniles constitute cruel and unusual punishment.
