LOWER NAZARETH TWP., Pa. -

A man stopped for driving with a faulty brake light is facing more serious charges after police searched him, officials said.

Justin A. Valentini was found with a switchblade, a small amount of marijuana and a grinder with marijuana residue after he was stopped near Hanoverville Road and Flora Lane, Lower Nazareth Twp., Northampton Co., at 4:50 p.m. Saturday, officials said.

Valentini admitted to police he had the grinder and a burnt marijuana cigarette under the seat of his dark green Volvo, officials said, adding that officers found the knife in his right pant pocket and bag of pot in his left pants pocket during a pat-down search.

Valentini, 19, of 504 North 4th St., Allentown, was arraigned having a prohibited weapon and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and released on $10,000 unsecured bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 11 a.m. Feb. 5.
